OUR PASTOR

 

Pastor Larry O'Brien and his wife Nena have served faithfully at Churchland Assembly of God since they founded the church in April of 1982. Pastor O'Brien is a leader in the Assemblies of God Tidewater Section, where he serves as the Sectional Presbyter. He also serves on the board of Teen Challenge, a ministry that changes the lives of those who have been plagued by substance abuse. 

 

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6

OUR CHURCH

 

Here at Churchland Assembly we are a family of families.  It is a place where people from many different backgrounds come together in unity and worship the Lord.  You won't get lost in the crowd at Churchland Assembly.  We're always glad to see a new face, and eager to welcome them into our church family.
     Founded in 1982, Churchland Assembly has grown from a handful of people worshiping in a house to 150 people gathering every week for strength, encouragement, and an encounter with God.  You are welcome to come be our guest and experience the presence of God with us at Churchland Assembly of God - Where God's Love is a Way of Life!
